With the leaves changing and the clocks going back on Sunday, this weekend is the perfect time to explore all the Halloween themed events in Sussex. There will be something for everyone but here are a few of our favourite Halloween events we’re excited for this weekend:
- Borde Hill Halloween Trail – Explore the garden on a children’s story trail to see if you can help solve the mystery as to why Sir Haunt-A-Lot is unable to rest in peace. Everyone who completes the trail will receive a prize and if you are still bursting with energy there is an exciting adventure playground with climbing frames, swings and a zip wire.
- UpCounty Spooky Bus – Ghosts have taken over the London Bus at UpCountry, are you brave enough to enter? They are also selling pumpkins and Halloween treats.
- Pumpkin Picking – There are plenty of farms in Sussex offering a pick-your-own pumpkin experience – check out Latchetts Farm and Tulley’s Farm. As an extra bonus at Latchetts Farm, why not sample the amazing ice cream while you’re there.
- Wakehurst Place – Put your wellies on and go for a country walk around the beautiful gardens at Wakehurst Place. Afterwards treat yourself to a hot chocolate in the cafe.
- Fun Pots – If the weather isn’t looking great, you could head to Fun Pots pottery studio in Haywards Heath. Choose an item of pottery and enjoy painting it in your own design. It’s a fun, creative activity that both adults and children can enjoy together.
